About the For My Dorm Project

Georgia high school seniors will soon start preparing to go off to college. We all know that college is a big step for most students, and some of them will be the first in their families to attend college.

The Taylor Made Foundation provides graduating high school seniors facing housing insecurity, in foster care, or with low-income, with all of their essential items needed to settle comfortably in their new college dorms.

The 1st Annual Drive Thru College Bound Trunk Party is a day of recognition for graduating students to be acknowledged for their accomplishments – receiving gifts, words of inspiration, and sound advice before they head off to college. It is a joyous time for businesses and community members to come together and provide resources to housing deprived students who are unable to fully fund their college experience.

The college trunk party will be held at a local High School. Refreshments will be provided. The college trunk donations valued approx. $15,000 is sponsored by various local businesses for a day centered on providing resources that will help power students’ academic success.
